What happened to you matters.

Your account becomes part of the public archive. Stories are reviewed before publication. You control what is shared — you may remain anonymous.

How it works

  1. 1

    You share your experience

You fill out our secure submission form. You will be asked to share your story in your own words, along with details like the type of denial and outcome.

  2. 2

We review and edit for anonymity

Before anything is approved for the website, an editor personally reviews your story text to scrub away any identifying details. We will remove or genericize:

    • Corporate identities: We strip out specific insurance company names (e.g., "Company X denied my care" becomes "My insurer denied my care").
    • Personal data: We remove specific doctor names, hospital names, exact dates, and niche geographic locations to ensure you cannot be identified.
  3. 3

    Your story is published safely

Once the review is complete, if chosen, your story is published with personally identifying information removed or redacted. We take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, though no process can guarantee complete anonymity. Your voice helps others navigate similar situations.

Your Story

Describe the insurance decision, how it affected your care, and the final outcome. Be as specific as you are comfortable with—including diagnoses, what was denied, and what happened as a result.

No insurance names: Please do not use the insurance company's name in this story text box.

No identifiable details: Please do not include the names of medical providers, insurance employees, yourself, or anyone else involved.

Sensitive information: We encourage you not to include Social Security numbers, insurance policy numbers, claim numbers, dates of birth, medical record numbers, home addresses, or other sensitive personal information in your submission. If included, we may remove or redact such information before publication.

We've got your back: Our team will manually review and edit out any accidental identifying information before your story is published.
